St. Michael High School celebrated International Yoga Day  in the SMRC Hall for the students of Std. IX under the guidance of Ms. Diana Lopes and Ms. Serene Almeida. The celebration, based on the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing," aimed to promote awareness of the importance of yoga for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The programme included an introduction to the significance of International Yoga Day, followed by a guided meditation session, pranayama, warm-up exercises, and the practice of yoga asanas such as Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, and Vajrasana. Students also took a Yoga Pledge and participated in motivational yoga slogans, inspiring them to adopt yoga as a part of their daily lives.

The celebration was a meaningful and enriching experience that encouraged students to embrace yoga for a healthier, happier, and more balanced lifestyle.
